Keeping you safe

Cinema Lives! We're ready to screen the best in independent British and world cinema.

To make your experience as safe as possible, we have implemented a number of precautions across the venue.

Announcement Friday 10 September:

We would like to make you aware of upcoming changes that we will be soon making to our in-screen social distancing measures. From Monday 13 September, we will be implementing a one-seat gap between bookings.

Please be assured that we will continue with  the following safety measures:

  • Allocated seating
  • Ventilation set to full fresh air
  • Advising that customers wear face coverings when moving around the building
  • Table service in our Café Bar, Mezz Bar and Terrace

We hope you have appreciated our decision to take a cautious, staggered approach to increasing capacity at Broadway, and that you continue to support us through this next stage.

If you have any concerns about these changes or any upcoming bookings, then please do not hesitate to contact us at info@broadway.org.uk and a member of team will get back to you ASAP.

What precautions is Broadway taking?

We want you to have the safest experience possible at Broadway and have put in place the following measures:

  • Implemented allocated seating and reduced capacity in each screen to allow for social distancing. Tickets purchased online and in-person will automatically block two seats either side of you and/or your group (changing to one-seat from Monday 13 September)
  • Changed our air conditioning to 100% fresh air circulating from outside of building
  • Installed hand sanitising stations at entrances, exits, outside screens and at multiple points within Broadway
  • Staggered film times to allow for social distancing and safe entry and exit from the building
  • Increased cleaning times in screens and across Broadway
  • Provided staff with new branded uniforms so they are easily identifiable, and visors/facemasks and PPE in order to carry out their tasks safely
  • Broadway staff will be asked to declare at the start of each shift that both themselves and members of their household are symptom-free
  • Installed perspex screens at all points of sale

How can you help?

You have your ticket and you're ready for the big screen experience, but before you arrive we ask that you adhere to some general house rules to keep yourself, staff and your fellow audience members safe:

  • Please do not enter the premises if you are experiencing one or more symptoms of COVID-19
  • We encourage you to continue to wear masks when moving around the building. Masks can be removed when seated in our cinema and bar.
  • Our Track and Trace QR code will remain available on entry and we encourage you to continue to check-in upon arrival.
  • We recommend pre-ordering your drinks online if you'd like to take a drink into a screen for a film - add them to your basket when booking your cinema tickets and they'll be ready for you to collect before the film. Please note: if you wish to order a drink when in the venue, we are required to seat you in our Café Bar in order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines, please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the start time
