Explore biohacking and wearable technology with Bright Box Makerspace.

Get creative with technology by designing superhero-inspired gadgets and gizmos.

In this two-hour workshop led by Bright Box Makerspace, children and their accompanying adults will work together to experiment and play with craft materials and simple electronics.

You'll be supported to creatively explore the concepts of biohacking and wearable technology to design superhero gadgets with different objects and tools.

Use your imagination to invent gadgets that could be used to save the world — or just make it a bit more fantastic!

 

What will you learn?

  • Designing and testing ideas
  • Building prototypes with low and high-tech tools
  • Adding technology: lights, beginners level coding, using Micro:bits
  • Storytelling and creative crafting
  • Explore concepts of biohacking and wearable technology

This event is aimed at children aged 7-12. Adults permitted only to accompany children. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
