Seating upgrades to take place this summer…
This summer we plan on replacing the seats in Screens 1, 2 and 4 in order to maintain the high standards you expect for comfort at the cinema, whilst also retaining the unique character of our screens.
What will be changing?
Existing seats in Screens 1,2 and 4 will be replaced with a wider, new design that (finally!) includes a cupholder. We will also be increasing the aisle widths so there’s more space to stretch your legs during those longer films. Screen 1 will also experience a technical upgrade with 4K projection and 7.1 sound being installed, bringing it in line with Screen 2’s recent projection and sound improvements.
Finally, in Screen 4 we will retain the Paul Smith identity with a new, approved striped design.
What happens to the existing seats?
Our existing seats are currently looking for a new home, but we’ll no doubt have a few left over for customers to take in return for a donation to our charitable projects. If you’re interested in owning a piece of Nottingham’s cinema history, please contact seats@broadway.org.uk and a member of the team will get back to you.
What about the seat dedications?
All customers with seat dedications have been contacted regarding these changes. If you are an existing seat dedication holder but did not receive a letter from us, please let us know on seats@broadway.org.uk or 0115 952 6611.
We are also relaunching our seat dedications scheme in advance of these improvements, if you’re interested in having a plaque to commemorate a loved one, celebrate a special moment or simply to let everyone know that you support Broadway, get in touch!
