Broadway is Nottingham's independent cinema and cultural hub, and our curated party spaces bring a little bit of that magic to every celebration.
From private cinema screenings for 15 to 248 guests, to our stylish Lounge hire and larger Mezz Bar celebrations, we'll help you create an unforgettable event in the heart of Nottingham's Cultural Quarter. Hen and stag dos, milestone birthdays, anniversary screenings, wedding receptions, christenings and Christmas parties.

PRIVATE SCREENINGS
Treat yourself, your friends or your family to a private cinema screening in Nottingham, either in one of our four state-of-the-art cinema screens (capacities from 58 to 248) or in our unique 15-seat private screen room. It's a genuinely unforgettable way to mark a birthday, a proposal, an anniversary or just a brilliant night out.
Choose from current releases*, classics from our curated programme, or bring your own content for a truly personal event. Our technical team will make sure the picture and sound are perfect, and our in-house catering team can provide everything from popcorn and prosecco to full dining menus.
*Private screenings of current releases are subject to additional charges and may be subject to licensing restrictions. Our team will advise on this.
THE LOUNGE
The Lounge is a stylishly designed private hire space in Nottingham, with leather sofas, atmospheric lighting and even a mini-bar facility. Designed by Monika Charchula (winner of the BBC's Interior Design Masters 2023), you can pre-order a selection of drinks from our Café Bar and we'll stock the fridge so you don't have to leave this beautiful room once the celebrations begin.
It's perfect for hen and stag dos, milestone birthdays and private gatherings. We can also project free-to-air television in The Lounge so it's perfect for sharing major sporting events, awards ceremonies or bringing a games console for a competitive night with friends.
MEZZ BAR
For larger groups of more than 15, our Mezz Bar is available for exclusive hire in Nottingham. Perfect for milestone birthdays, networking events, creative industry meet-ups, wedding receptions and Christmas parties.
With views over Broad Street and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the Mezz Bar offers something genuinely different to chain venues and hotel function rooms. Our events team will work with you on drinks packages, catering and the little details to make it feel like your event.

How much does it cost to hire a private cinema screen in Nottingham?

Can I choose the film for a private screening?
Yes. You can choose from current cinema releases*, classics from Broadway's curated programme, or bring your own content. Some newer releases may have licensing restrictions and our team will confirm availability when you enquire.
What's the smallest private screening you offer?
Our smallest private screen room seats 15 people and is perfect for intimate celebrations.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Catering is provided by our in-house team, with a wide range of menus to suit different events. Please speak to the events team about any specific requirements.
Is Broadway a suitable venue for wedding receptions?
Yes. We've hosted many wedding receptions and smaller wedding celebrations in spaces including the Mezz Bar and our cinema screens. Please note, we do not hold a license for wedding ceremonies.
Does hiring Broadway support a good cause?
Yes. Broadway is a registered charity (no. 700880). Every booking helps us champion independent film, nurture creative talent and keep cinema accessible for everyone across Nottingham.
