A band of Mexican gunrunners employed by a revolutionary General accept an American mercenary into their gang, unaware of his true intentions.

A tale of comradeship and betrayal, Damiano Damiani’s A Bullet for the General (Quién Sabe?) was one of the first overtly political spaghetti westerns. Exploring social injustice and  revolution, this film was intended to be a commentary on CIA intervention in Latin America. Featuring a brilliant performance from the legendary Gian Maria Volante and co-written by Franco Solinas (The Battle of Algiers) A Bullet for the General is one of the finest examples of the ‘Zapata revolutionary western’.
