Join us for a night of storytelling where 9 brave souls share their true tales in just 10 minutes each.

Broadway Cinema is joining (dark) forces with Tenx9 on the theme of Ghosts. We’ll have a night of spooky tales to chill you ahead of our special screening of Ghostwatch on Thu 19 March.

Let's explore the inexplicable of Nottingham's rich history: The Caves, the Castle, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, Galleries of Justice...all those ghosts simmering away.

Send us your nonfiction monsters, cryptids, undead, aliens, un-human creatures, and real weird stunning stories.

If you want to be one of our storytellers we would love to hear your story - we especially welcome the shy, hesitant and reluctant. Story submissions by Sun 8 March at: tenx9nottm@gmail.com | tenx9.com/nottingham | @tenx9.nottm | Story guidelines: tenx9.com/editorialguidelines

Wee background

Tenx9 was founded in Belfast in 2011 by Paul Doran and Pádraig ÓTuama (more details at tenx9.com), as a night for ordinary people to tell true stories of their life - not fiction, not fable. Stories with a start, middle and end (although not in that order necessarily). Stories that have the listeners wondering ‘What happened next?’ ‘Why did she do that?’ ‘Who is that character?’ or ‘That character sounds just like my Auntie Myrtle.’

Whilst Belfast is the city of Saints and Scholars, Nottingham is the City of Literature, we were born to do this.
