We’re delighted to welcome back to Nottingham actor, musician and director Samantha Morton, who will talk about her career with Broadway’s CEO Lucy Askew after our screening of Control.

Control chronicles the life of Ian Curtis, the lead singer of the influential post-punk band Joy Division. It explores his struggles with epilepsy and the emotional toll of the band's growing fame on his personal life. The story also details his complicated relationships, including his marriage to Deborah (Samantha Morton) and an affair with Annik (Alexandra Maria Lara).

Filmed partly on location in Nottingham, the film uses key spots like the former Carlton Studios, The Boulevard pub, and the Marcus Garvey Centre. The black-and-white cinematography captures the city's atmosphere in a crisp and evocative way.

This is a 35th Anniversary Fundraising Screening for Broadway.

Tickets: Pay What You Feel between £10 & £50.
