In the Foyer:

A series of interactive light sculptures by Near Now Studio Member Emily Foster of Lumen Event Decor and collaborators James Burnett and Tom Cole.
Using sensors and Arduino technology, the sculptures will generate an audiovisual response relative to the proximity of the viewer. Emily hopes to alleviate loneliness with the light sculptures, creating a conversation between the artwork and the audience.
Supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

PRESS HEAR 3i by artist Graham Elstone. An interactive installation that explores ideas of society, culture and our modern world in relation to our future. Produced in conjunction with pupils at six Nottingham/shire schools, the artwork is interactive sounds, visual and sculptural. Three large pairs of eyes stare out into the distance, each contains the words, pictures and thoughts of the young people on the project.
The artwork is conceived by artist Graham Elstone and is a further exploration of the Press Hear theme that has influenced a number of projects using touch technology, including works in residential care settings with older generations, and the large-scale installation ‘The Circle Squared’. PRESS HEAR 3i is funded by Arts Council England, Nottingham City Council and supported by Bare Conductive.
