Learn the foundations of film editing practice and theory with filmmakers, Keith Allott and Mbili Munthali.
Over eight weeks, you will be guided through different types of editing techniques used by editors to execute the film's creative vision. You'll also grow to understand the process of editing from the first contact with your project's footage to the final edit and mastering for distribution. There will also be an opportunity to learn about basic graphics and special effects creation. The course will be led using Final Cut Pro but the teaching will be applicable across any editing software.
You should expect some crossover between this course and Film School, and Beginning Screenwriting, but all within its own context.
