Maths fun for youngsters and their families, presented by Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity. An hour-long interactive performance for kids aged 7+ and their families, using humour and competitive games to communicate advanced but accessible mathematical ideas

The Big Maths Gameshow has been devised, written and performed by award-winning maths communicator Kyle D Evans, who has toured similar family maths shows the length and breadth of the UK, including venues such as London’s Science Museum and Royal Institution, and several runs at the Edinburgh Fringe (where he was even visited by BBC breakfast once).

Audience volunteers will battle each other in five different rounds of mathematical games, before the ultimate champion is decided. There is even a round where children can demonstrate their problem-solving prowess by challenging their parent or guardian!

Audience feedback from Kyle's latest shows

“Both my maths loving child and maths reluctant child loved this show, as did I! We’ve revisited lots of the maths in the few days since seeing it and my daughter who wasn’t that excited about seeing this show says it’s one of her best shows of the festival! Definitely recommended!”

“We loved this show. Something for all ages. The children and adults in our party all loved it!!”
