Hit Man

Loosely based on an article director Richard Linklater (the Before Trilogy, Boy) read over 20 years ago in the Texas Monthly, Hit Man is the director’s latest, a twisty comedy-thriller. Glenn Powell stars as a mild-mannered police liaison posing undercover as a ruthless hitman, who becomes romantically involved in his latest case. Powell’s easy charms work a treat here, as the narrative grapples with false identities, crooked cops and femme fatales. – BFI
