During our first year, Broadway’s crime and mystery festival, Shots in the Dark, launched in 1991 – opening with a gala preview of soon-to-be-classic The Silence of the Lambs. In a career defining role, Jodie Foster stars as young FBI trainee Clarice Starling, who looks to former psychiatrist and psychopathic serial killer Hannibal Lector, to help on a case.
