Buying in advance

Tickets can be bought in advance for all films – either from this website or by calling the box office on 0115 952 6611. There is no booking fee for booking online or over the telephone.

We don’t usually reserve specific seats, so if you know where you want to sit you might want to get there early.

Broadway Bites

You can enjoy 10% off all meals before or after a screening by presenting your cinema ticket to our Cafebar staff upon ordering.

We can’t sell Broadway Bites tickets in advance. Because the Cafébar can get busy, we recommend you allow at least an hour to eat before your film begins.


No additional charge for 3D films!

Group tickets

Groups of ten or more people can get a discount on both full and concessionary tickets, as long as you book in advance. Just call the box office on 0115 952 6611


To qualify for concessions, you’ll need to be under 25 (for our £4.50 ticket); a full-time student (with a valid photo NUS card); have a state pension; be unemployed or be registered disabled. Please bring proof of your status when you buy your ticket.

Opening hours

The box office is open Monday to Saturday from 9am and Sunday from 10am. It closes 15 minutes after the start of the final film.

Children and babies

We welcome children into our building and CaféBar until 9pm, as long as they’re supervised by a parent or carer. We can’t accept responsibility for unsupervised children.

Please note that babies are permitted into family orientated matinee screenings, but we do request that you respect the film going experience of other customers, and be prepared to leave the auditorium if necessary.


We try very hard to make sure Broadway can be enjoyed by all.

The building and screens are fully accessible to people using wheelchairs. If you need extra help getting comfy, back supports and seat wedges are available from the box office.

An infrared hearing system is fitted in each auditorium, Screen 2 and the box office also have induction loops, which can be used with your hearing aid on the ‘T’ setting.

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome. And finally, our brochure is available in alternative formats – just ask.

All of our screens are accessible to wheelchair users and people with limited mobility, however we have limited spaces available. If you would like to reserve a wheelchair space or one of our more accessible seat, do contact us ahead of time so we can make sure to reserve the best seats available for you. Please let us know if anything doesn't come up to scratch and we'll do our best to put it right.

Audio Description (AD)

Audio Description is a service for partially sighted or blind people. While the film's main soundtrack plays through the cinema speakers in the usual manner, users listen to a specially recorded narrator detailing what's happening on the screen at selected breaks during the film's dialogue, through a set of headphones. The headphones are personal and the user is still able to hear the film's sound through the cinema surround sound speakers. The service is similar to listening to a football or cricket match on the radio in which the action is described to the listener.

The AD headphones are available to collect from Box Office when you pick up your tickets prior to the film screening.

Photography, audio and film recording is not permitted on our terrace or within our building without prior permission.

If you would like to request permission for photography, audio or film recordings at Broadway, please contact Stewart Terry at with detailed information about the nature of your enquiry. All enquiries should include:

- A suggested date or time

- A list of spaces you would like to use (eg. screens, cafebar, terrace)

- How long you would need the space(s) for

- What purpose the footage or recording will be used for

All enquiries are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please note that a cost may incur for the use of our spaces depending on the nature of your enquiry.

Liquid Refreshment

You are welcome to take alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks from our bars into our screens. Bottles and cans aren't allowed for safety reasons, so please let our bar staff know when you're on the way to a film and we’ll give you an appropriate drink holder when we serve you.

Electric Smoking Policy

Previously, our policy was to allow e-cigarettes in all areas EXCEPT the cinema screens, where we had concerns that vapour could give rise to the discomfort of our customers and potentially interfere with the projection of films.

This policy has now been reviewed and e-cigarettes cannot be used anywhere inside Broadway’s premises.

However, we will stay up to date with the research and legislation on the issue and if it is proven that there is no health risk to users or passive users whatsoever, then this policy will be reviewed again.

Refund Policy

We are happy to exchange or refund tickets at the discretion of our venue management. Tickets for sold-out films and events will only be refunded if there are customers on a waiting list.
