Last month we lost Peter Bogdanovich, a filmmaker who lived and breathed cinema. A film programmer and critic before he turned to directing, Bogdanovich continued to write throughout his life. His relationships with many of great stars of the 20th century (most notably Orson Welles) represented one of our last remaining links to the Golden Age of Hollywood.

One of Bogdanovich’s most beloved films, Paper Moon stars real-life father-daughter pairing Ryan and Tatum O’Neal, as itinerant con-man Moses Pray and the nine-year-old he finds himself saddled with, who may or may not be his daughter. Shot in luminous black and white, it’s a beautiful film which truly deserves the big screen treatment.

Presented in association with Kino Klubb and introduced by Joey Bell.
