A neo-noir heist movie with heart, Bound stars Gina Gershon (fresh off making Showgirls) as butch lesbian Corky, newly released from prison, who picks up a job renovating an empty apartment. She quickly becomes entangled with the bisexual femme-next-door, Violet (played to perfection by Jennifer Tilly). Together the pair formulate a risky plan to steal millions of dollars of stashed mob money from Violet’s beau Caesar.

The debut feature from trans filmmakers the Wachowski sisters, Bound set the tone for the ‘love conquers all’ theme that has continued to run throughout their careers.

Join us after the film for a panel discussion on chosen queer femininity and femme representation in film, with QTIPOC activist and content creator Aquila Hope, journalist and feature writer Katrina Marshall, and pattern cutter and trans-activist and model Row Seward – curated and hosted by writer and director Campbell X.
