BFI Film Academy: Made in the Midlands

A film series which turns the spotlight on films made in the Midlands

Taking place in four venues, this FREE curated film series will delve into and showcase an array of fantastic films - which were produced by teams centrally based, or created on location, right here in the Midlands!

In a live Q&A, we will explore the makings of the films and why it’s vital to create content in the Midlands.

  • MAC Birmingham will invite the creators of The Girl with All the Gifts (cert 15) to discuss the behind the scenes and round off with a viewing of the feature film.

  • QUAD (to be confirmed)

  • Phoenix will hold a panel with local filmmakers to share and showcase their work, and provide networking opportunities to learn from and inspire their peers - as part of Phoenix’s Show and Tell Takeover programme.
