Broadway
Bang!
Bang! is a non-competitive festival of short films hosted and supported by the Broadway Cinema, Nottingham, UK, and mixes local, national and international films to create an original and exciting programme.
The festival runs once a year, usually in Autumn, the next being November 26th, 27th & 28th 2010. Each event features a range of films mixing no cash raw talent and glossy high productions, documentaries and drama, comedy and animation, experimentation and musical!
- The Main Programme - the premiere event of the weekend.
- The Young Filmmakers / Family Matinee - films made by young filmmakers and suitable for a family audience.
- bang! in the bar - experimental films and music promos to stimulate the senses and entertain the eyes in the packed Café Bar environment.
- Bangimation - a programme of entirely animated works, drawing the region's most talented animators and sequential artists together for a programme especially dedicated to them and animation fans alike.
- Community - work from East Midlands' community groups and organisations with an accent on what's happening in the region.
- HEdge - for the fine art end of filmmaking - sequence artists and more - anything goes!
- Rights in Motion Award - in association with The Nottingham University Law Centre. Films with a human rights aspect, one of which is chosen to receive the award for outstanding work in this challenging field.
- Middle East - in association with Nottingham City Arts, bringing films from our buddies in the Middle Eastern Regions, Turkey and Mesopotamia buddies to our screens.
- Local Heroes - Celebrating the fantastic work of a particular filmmaker or filmmakers.
