Broadway

Broadway is pleased to support an exciting new project bringing artists and freerunners together.

The TRACE project began when photographer Trish Evans joined forces with freerunners to capture the energy and kinetic flow of people practising Parkour. Using LEDs and long-exposure photography the results demonstrate the movements and skill of those taking part but also show the locations in a very different perspective.

Now the organisers are looking for films that can also capture this dynamic and communicate the ethos of freerunning on the big screen.

After the deadline a panel of experienced freerunners and film-makers will judge the entries and selected films will be shown at Broadway Cinema.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY

• Films should be 5 – 10 minutes long and show the skill and creativity of both the film-maker and the freerunner(s)

• Be original and be cinematic - think about what will make your film stand out on the big screen!

• You must have permission to use any music featured in your film - please do not use copyrighted material

• To enter please send your film by post on DVD (as a Quicktime file) or by emailing URL web links to before Friday 13th April

• Clearly label your entry with your contact details and role in the film

• If your film is successful we will notify you by email. Please note - we will then need a high-quality master version of each film for the screening (a Quicktime file - on Mini DV or as a DVD)

• Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for returning any of the submitted films.

All selected films will be shown at Broadway on Saturday 5th May – more details coming soon
