BEING ELMO will be shown in our Lounge screen from Friday 11th - Thursday 17th May.

Beloved by millions of children around the world, Elmo is an international icon. However, few people know the soft-spoken man behind the furry red monster: Kevin Clash.

Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, BEING ELMO: A PUPPETEER’S JOURNEY follows Clash’s remarkable career, while also offering a behind-the-scenes look at Sesame Street and the Jim Henson Workshop.

Featuring interviews with Frank Oz, Rosie O’Donnell, Cheryl Henson, Joan Ganz Cooney and Clash himself, filmmaker Constance Marks’ insightful and personal documentary tells the story of one of the world’s most adored and recognizable characters and the visionary behind the icon.

On 2nd June we will be screening a very unique feature film.

Right Up My Street has been made by over 150 school pupils and young people from around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

The film-makers have interviewed people in their local communities and worked with professionals from the film industry to develop skills including costume-making, set design, music production, screenwriting and editing.

The project has been run by Broadway with funding from Creative England and aimed to connect young people with their communities whilst giving them professional skills through creative work.
