Calling young creative business people - we need your help

Broadway is currently developing a new service to support young people in the creative and digital content industries. The aim of the service will be to give young people the opportunity to explore, refine and develop their talents and link them to support that will enable them to turn this talent into creating successful businesses.

To help shape the service offered we want to hear from young people aged 16-25 who have already or would consider setting up a business in the creative and digital content industries and would benefit from the support on offer.

We would appreciate it if you could spend 10 minutes completing the survey below to let us know what type of support you might be looking for and how we can assist you in setting up your business.

www.surveymonkey.com/s/broadwaycinema

The closing date for completion of the survey is Friday 23rd March 2012. All completed surveys will be added into a prize draw to win two tickets to see a film at Broadway. If you have any queries on the questionnaire please contact Katie Hayes on 0115 976 5050 or katie.hayes@focus-consultants.com

THE NINE MUSES will play from Friday 24th February

THE NINE MUSES will play in our LoungeScreen from Friday 24th February.

Divided into nine musical chapters and mixing a vast array of archival material, THE NINE MUSES reforges The Odyssey as a reflection upon journeys, migration, memory and the power of elegy. John Akomfrah, co-founder of the Black Audio Film Collective, expands his exhibition Mnemosyne beyond the gallery in this visual-poem telling the story of Britain's post-war migrations. THE NINE MUSES unfolds as an utterly absorbing meditation on a journey towards self-discovery, a sorrow song on a quest for knowledge and identity. [Cambridge Film Festival]

SOUND IT OUT returns for a limited run in our Lounge Screen

SOUND IT OUT returns for a limited run in our Lounge Screen

To celebrate the DVD release of Jeanie Finlay's much loved SOUND IT OUT, we'll be screening it from Friday 17th in our Lounge Screen.

It's a distinctive, funny and intimate film about men, the North and the irreplaceable role music plays in our lives. Over the last five years an independent record shop has closed in the UK every three days. Sound It Out is a documentary portrait of the very last surviving vinyl record shop in Teesside. A cultural haven in one of the most deprived areas in the UK, Sound It Out documents a place that is thriving against the odds and the local community that keeps it alive.

We'll also be selling limited edition boutique DVDs with 7" vinyl soundtrack + film posters at our box office.
