Jon Burgerman joins us this Friday

World famous "artist and salad enthusiast" Jon Burgerman will be hosting a talk and Q&A about his work this Friday.

The former Nottingham resident and doodler extraordinaire will be discussing his career and recent move to New York.

The talk will begin at 1.45pm and tickets can be purchased from New College Nottingham (at Adams Building Reception) for £5 / £3 students.

Anyone attending the event will also get an exclusive £2 discount on tickets to see Jon's band Anxieteam play on Friday 5th October too.

Free cult classic screening in the bar

On Friday 21st September Kino Klubb join us for a very special free screening of John Carpenter's cult classic They Live.

This 80s classic mixes all the best (and explosive) bits of B-movies, sci-fi, horror and social satire and stars wrestler-turned-actor "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as a blue collar worker's battling against an alien conspiracy.

Alongside the screening we'll be having a Rowdy Roddy Disco Party with DJs, surprises and giveaways for the best fancy dress - so grab a mullet wig, some shades and a plaid shirt and join us for a night of bubblegum-poppin' fun!

We have tickets to give away for Barton's drive-in screenings next weekend.

From 13th - 16th September they will be showing some revved-up classics on the big screen. The season starts with Asif Kapadia's incredible documentary Senna followed by the stylish Bullitt and cult classics Vanishing Point and American Graffiti.

Excitement is building fast for World Event Young Artists (WEYA), the UK’s largest ever free festival of international arts,

The festival features over 1000 artists from all over the world coming together in Nottingham from 7th - 16th September. Broadway is one of the venues taking part with screenings, live music and artist installations around the building. For details see our September brochure or go to the WEYA website.

The whole festival kicks off with a launch party featuring amazing music talent headlined by DJ Gilles Peterson on Saturday 8th September.

The organisers are giving away tickets to the party and you could be in with a chance of winning some!

The deadline is fast approaching for our Show & Tell DIY Funding event.

Spoonfed will allow organisations and individuals to pitch for cash to help give their creative projects a boost

The event takes place on 9th September as part of World Event Young Artists but in order to take part and pitch you need to tell us your idea before 27th August.
