Upcoming changes at Broadway Cinema

Thank you to the thousands of Broadway customers who completed our annual audience survey in August.

Whilst we take the time to look through your comments, we thought we would share some of the headline results with you:

  • 98.4% of customers would recommend us
  • More customers now use our website to view our film programme than our printed brochure
  • 56.5% of survey respondents are unaware that Broadway is a registered charity
  • Customers are frustrated by the implied queuing system in our Cafebar

You may have heard that we’re planning on making some ambitious changes to Broadway over the coming year which will make the customer experience even better.

These changes include a redesign of our Cafebar and Mezz Bar, upgrading comfort levels in Screens 1, 2 and 4 (don’t worry, we’ll still be retaining that unique Paul Smith style in Screen 4) and introducing 4K projection and 7.1 surround sound in Screens 1 and 2.

Your honest and forthright feedback has confirmed much of our own thinking in regards to changes we can make to take Broadway forward, so we just want to take the time to say thank you.

Thank you for the record 194,492 tickets sold, the 82,864 pints of beer drank on your way into a film, the 47,442 cups of coffee grasped on a cold Silver Screen Thursday morning, the 18,171 pizzas ordered before settling in for the film quiz and the 9,382 slices of cake wolfed down from 9am until late.

Without your continued support and loyalty to Broadway, we would be just another cinema. With you behind us, we’re so much more.

Once our plans are finalised and the dates in 2019 are confirmed we will share these with you and ask for further input into their implementation.

Thank you again,

Steve Mapp
CEO, Broadway Cinema
