Broadway introduces new under-25 £4.50 cinema ticket

Broadway now offers a cheap £4.50 cinema ticket to anyone under the age of 25 for any films in their regular programme. The new ticket was recently launched at the Hockley venue, with the support of Film Hub Central East, in a bid to make cinema more accessible to more young people.

Broadway’s new under-25 ticket is valid any day, any time, on any screening where regular ticket prices apply, and is also available to purchase online*. The new scheme is in line with Broadway’s efforts to make cinema-going as inclusive and accessible as possible, and comes months only after the Hockley venue introduced “Broader.”, a new strand within their programme looking to expand the breadth of Broadway’s programming.

“We wanted to give more young people a chance to enjoy the cinema experience, and more often, without needing to break the bank, explains Melissa Gueneau, Press & Marketing Coordinator at Broadway. There are more and more ways to watch films nowadays, and it allows films to travel further than ever before, but we still truly believe that nothing quite beats the cinema experience. It’s something very special to be in an auditorium with a group of strangers and experience a cinematic journey together.”

With the under-25 ticket being available on all regular screenings from Broadway’s programme, it will allow young people to experience a wide spectrum of films, whether they want to take a chance on a small indie movie such as The Eagle Huntress, watch an Oscar-buzzing film such as La La Land, or enjoy a major release such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with their friends.

The new £4.50 ticket is now available to anyone under the age of 25 from the Broadway Box Office or online at www.broadway.org.uk, and is made available with the support of Film Hub Central East and the BFI Film Audience Network.
