Theatre director Rufus Norris brings us his first feature film in this story of the three dysfunctional houses nestled in the corner of a typical British cul-de-sac.
Seen from the eyes of 11 year old 'Skunk', played effortlessly by newcomer Eloise Laurence, the various tales are intertwined through a non-linear narrative, that some times has you wondering what has happened, but always has you glued to the screen.
With a terrific ensemble cast including Tim Roth and Cillian Murphy as Skunk's father and teacher respectively, this is true British kitchen sink drama, and well worth a look.
