DISPOSSESION: THE GREAT SOCIAL HOUSING SWINDLE + Q&A

For some people, a housing crisis means not getting planning permission for a loft conversion. For others it means, quite simply, losing their home. Narrated by Maxine Peake, DISPOSSESSION... explores the catastrophic failures that have led to a chronic shortage of social housing in Britain. Focusing on the neglect, demolition and regeneration of council estates in London, Glasgow and Nottingham, the film examines the human cost of the housing crisis, with unprecedented access to residents, politicians and experts in the housing industry and media.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Paul Sng (Director), Lisa McKenzie ('Getting By' author), Chantal Lee (St Ann's resident and Labour candidate for Newark), Luke Doonan (Dispossession Executive Producer), Sally Denton (Nottingham Law Centre), and hosted by Daniela Scotece (POW Nottingham).
