In 1970s Colorado Springs, Ron Stallworth has just become the first African-American detective in the police department. Spotting a KKK recruitment advert in the local paper, Stallworth calls them up on a whim, and arranges a meeting. Unable to meet the group himself, he enlists his colleague Flip Zimmerman, and the two soon embarks on the undercover investigation of a lifetime: infiltrating the KKK. Spike Lee returns with a hugely relevant, entertaining, angry and timely film, based on a true story and winner of the Grand Jury Prize in Cannes.
