This is a prime example of where the trailer gives you the wrong impression of what the film actually is. I think there were about two "laughs" in the whole film; it was slow paced, with a pretty weak story line and definitely not the potential independent gem I was hoping for.
Good to hear from you. I'm holding an exhibition of my Puppetised art work in the Broadmarsh next week. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll have some Puppets there from TV shows like Dappledown Farm. Pop along and maybe we can, 'mess with some puppets'.

Hi Marcus, I'm hoping to go and see Being Elmo tomorrow. I've still got the tiger from the puppet workshop you did at the church in Bridgford, hope we can do it again one day! Cheers Gary
Well written, very well acted, great idea with dry mumour that keeps the drama in check. Brilliant contrast between Asian and Western lives and values -family connections Vs a variety of Western family dysfunctions. This film would be enjoyable for all those who enjoy the human story but those who think they'll live forever probably won't get it.
The plusses - some funny moments and nice to see a bit of sunshine. The negatives - performances and dialogue were a bit wooden but I suspect that was the intended style of the film.
Long time ago in a far away land called the mid '80's. I was auditioned by Sessame Streets' Elmo Puppeteer, Kevin Clash for Jim Henson's Puppeteering for Television Workshop and for the opportunity to be trained as a Puppeteer. I was the only one of my group to go through. How lucky am I. And how much am I looking forward to seeing Kevins'story, some of which I already know or have travelled to, in 'Being Elmo', a Puppeteers Journey.
Great idea, awesome plot, amusing aswell as a being serious. Woody at his best. Mia plays a female Allen well. Love it but i love Woody so what can i say.

This comedy of manners really tickled me. Stilman gently mocks US student stereotypes to great effect. Very interesting and some very funny moments
